DDC Doda visits SBI RSETI, reviews overall functioning of institute

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode today visited Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) operational under SBI and reviewed the   functioning of the institute.During the visit, the DDC enquired about  the number of vocational training programs being taught in the institute, number of trainees receiving the vocational training at present, duration of the program besides other facilities being provided to the trainees during the training program.The Director RSETI apprised the DDC that at present 41 girls are receiving  one month vocational training in Beauty Parlour and Fashion designing.Moreover, the Director informed the DDC that 3 time meals including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea is given to each trainee, adding to this institute also provides boarding facility upto 24 candidates within the premises.Observing the crunch of accommodation, the DDC directed the concerned to set up a separate room for the  Beauty Parlour program so that the trainees learn the traits of the trade effectively .The DDC directed the Director RSETI to send a proposal for the candidates for availing Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program(PMEGP) scheme to enable them set own entrepreneurship units.The Director informed that till now 3000 candidates have received training in different vocational programs, of which around 2200 candidates established their own business units and others are in follow up stage.
