To ensure swift response to deal with any eventuality during the prevailing inclement weather conditions in the district, District administration Doda, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode today organised active disaster management drill.The DDC was informed that the men and machinery have been  mobolised and district control room is in constant contact with all  the local Administration of all Tehsils .Later, the DDC visited the far flung  Gurmul area in Kastigarh Tehsil to inspect the situation arisen due to huge landslide reported after overnight rainfall.The DDC assured the residents of the area that a special team will be constituted to evaluate long term safety measures to prevent the landslide in the area.During the visit, the DDC also inspected the Ration store and enquired about the stock position. He directed the dealer to ensure the distribution of ration to the beneficiaries in transparent manner on priority basis.The DDC also listened to the issues of the locals, who demanded start of the pending excavation work on Dhandal-Gurmul road,   provision of Kerosene oil supply at Gurmul etc.  Tehsildar Kastigarh, Mohammad Younus Zargar; Sarpanch and Panchs of the area, besides officials of other departments were present.
