B2V3: Govt functionaries interact with public, PRIs in district Shopian

The day 5th of the government’s ambitious ‘Back to Village’ phase three programme started today on a high note with immense public support and participation in all Panchayats of Shopian district.Under Secretary, Finance department, Mohammad Amin Shah, Visiting Officer for Panchayat Batmuran, participated in a local Gram Sabha held here that was also attended by all PRI members and general public.The Visiting Officer highlighted the importance and role of Gram Sabhas adding that this gives an appropriate platform to all stakeholders to share their views and experiences regarding growth and development of their respective areas.He also inaugurated a kabaddi tournament besides distributing sports kits and other sports equipment’s among the students including girls.The Visiting Officer called upon the people to avail maximum benefit of schemes of different departments for their socio economic progress and added that the Government has launched various centrally and UT sponsored flagship schemes for the welfare of the general public.Meanwhile similar functions were also held at all the other panchayat halqas of the district.
