Jan Abhiyan: Public grievance redressal hour held at Kulgam DC reviews conduct of Jan Abhiyan and B2V3

To mitigate the issues and grievances of people, the district administration Kulgam has started to listen to the public issues, grievances and demands on a daily basis from 10:30 am to 11:30 am except Wednesday.In this connection a grievance redressal programme was today held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat wherein he listened to the public issues, grievances and demands.The DC said that the administration has put in place a robust and prompt grievance redressal mechanism at all levels where all the officers will remain available to listen to the public.Meanwhile, scores of people from different areas of the district participated in the grievance redressal hour programme and put forth their issues and demands pertaining to different departments and of different nature.During the grievance redressal hour programme, a lot of demands and issues were redressed on the spot. 

On the occasion the DC directed all the district officers to remain available for public during the grievance hour.He also added that to listen and mitigate the issues and grievances of the people is our top priority and directed all the officers to ensure that the issues and grievances of people must be mitigated at all levels without any delay.Later, the DC chaired a separate meeting of district and sectoral officers for smooth and successful conduct of Jan Abhiyan programme and Back to Village phase 3.The DDC said that the Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim programme has been launched in all panchayats of the district.The three pillars will be the redressal of public grievances (Jan Sunvayee), public service delivery (Adhikar Abhiyan) and delivery of development at Gram Panchayat level (Unat Gram Abhiyan) he added.The DDC said that the ‘Block Divas’ will be conducted on every Wednesday of this month beginning from September 16 and shall conclude on September 30 and officers of the line department will remain available on the designated spots on these days.He also maintained that the people can put forth their demands before the line officers for on spot resolution.
