On the 2nd day of Jan Abhiyan Programme, a Block level Camp was organised in the premises of BDO office, presided over by District Development Commissioner Kathua O.P Bhagat today.ADC Atul Gupta, ACD Narayan Dutt, Tehsildar Gourav Sharma, BDO Rupali Jasrotia, District and Sectoral Officers, Panch, Sarpanchs and a large number of people were present.The elected Panchayat members of Block Kathua apprised their issues which were mostly related to road connectivity, MGNREGA wage payments, left out BPL beneficiaries, playfield, ration cards, provision of Playfield etc.While Listening to the issues highlighted by the Panchs and Sarpanchs, the DDC passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers to take immediate steps to redress projected issues. He also called for removing bottlenecks in execution of projects of public importance, completing those projects which have completed 80% of the work so that the same can be dedicated to people during B2V-3.The DDC informed the gathering that 21 days Jan Abhiyan prior to B2V3 was aimed to foster the pace of public services delivery under Adhikar Abhiyan, speed up the execution of development works under Unnat Gram Abhiyan and fast redressal of public Grievances under Jan Sunwai Abhiyan from 10 Sept to 30 Sept to achieve maximum developmental results during B2V3.
He assured that all the demands and issues being projected are being documented and action taken reports will be maintained by respective BDOs.The DDC called upon the elected representatives to liaison with banks to ensure 100% Aadhaar seeding of individual beneficiary oriented schemes especially MGNREGA, Ration and pension before 30 September 2020.During the camp 153 Domicile Certificates were distributed among the eligible applicants.Earlier, the DDC listened to the public Grievances from 10:30 to 11:30 am at his office which will be held five days a week except Wednesday and Sunday during Jan Abhiyan campaign.A calendar of Block level camps was released wherein 19 blocks of the district will hold Jan Abhiyan Camps at block headquarters in a 15 day schedule.As per the schedule Marheen & Hiranagar Blocks will hold camp on 12 Sept, Nagri and Keeriyan Gandyal blocks on 14th Sept, Barnoti and Dinga Amb blocks on 15th, Duggan block on 16th Sept, Bani on 17th , Basohli on 18th, Mandi and Billawar on 19th Sept, Dhar Mahanpur On 21st Sept, Nagrota Gujroo on 22nd, Baggan on 23th, Duggain on 24th, Lohai Malhar on 25th, Bhoond Block on 28th and Mahanpur block on 29th September 2020.
