DDC Bandipora chairs DLRCC meeting

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today chaired a meeting of District Level Review cum Consultative Committee (DLRCC) here.The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs 524.46 Cr, constituting 77 percent of the total annual credit plan of the year has been utilized up to the quarter that ended March 2020.Lead District Manager Bandipora informed the meeting that all banks operating in the district have extended credit under Priority Sector and under Non- Priority sector thereby registering an achievement of 77 percent in Annual Credit Plan up to March 31, 2020.Besides reviewing the performance of Banks and Govt. departments under various Schemes, DDC directed for speedy disposal of Govt. Sponsored cases.He stressed upon the Bankers and the Line Departments to work in tandem to get the best results at ground level besides enjoining upon them to launch a vigorous awareness campaign, especially in rural and far-flung areas of the district.He also emphasized upon the banks to increase the lending in agriculture, horticulture and allied activities to generate more employment opportunities in the district.The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Lead District Manager, District Development Manager NABARD, Representative from RBI, District Coordinators of various financial institutions and Officers from Line Departments were present in the meeting.
