Hussan Lal, IAS, State Nodal Officer COVID for districts Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala and Amritsar-cum-Principal Secretary, Sports & Youth Services-cum-Commissioner, Food & Drug Administration today reviewed Covid arrangements in the district.He also chaired a meeting that was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal, ADC (D)-cum-Nodal Officer Covid Ludhiana Mr Sandeep Kumar, ADC (Jagraon) Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, ADC (General) Mr Amarjit Bains, ADC (Khanna) Mr Jaspal Singh Gill, Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga, SDMs and several other district administration and health department officials. During the meeting, he issued several important instructions regarding Covid to the officials.Mr Hussan Lal told the officials to work wholeheartedly for the welfare of residents and to also ensure that people stay safe. He also interacted with the officials and took their feedback regarding several important things such as treatment, sampling etc.

He also held a meeting with the members of Sanjivani Group, that has been formed under Mission Fateh in collaboration with the District Administration and comprises of top medical experts namely Prof Bishav Mohan, Prof Rajesh Mahajan, Dr Sandeep Chhabra, Dr Vipin (DMC Ludhiana), Prof. HS Pannu (Director, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana), Prof. Mary John (CMC, Ludhiana), Dr Gurpreet Singh (Critical Care Expert, Apollo Hospital, Ludhiana) and Dr Hitender Kaur Sohal (SMO Civil Hospital, Nodal Officer COVID, Ludhiana).

Later, he visited Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Covid Care Centre at Meritorious School and Civil Hospital Ludhiana, where he interacted with the doctors and took their feedback. He also visited a micro-containment zone on Barewal Road and interacted with the police officials on duty there.He assured the residents that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is keeping a close watch on providing best healthcare services to them. He also urged the residents not to fall prey to rumours on social media, follow all government directions, wear masks, maintain social distancing and hand hygiene.
