The Hon’ble Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh has launched the Mission Fateh in the state of Punjab to defeat COVID-19 and as a part of implementing this mission at the ground level under the able supervision of worthy Cabinet Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Principal Secretary Anurag Verma, IAS, of Technical Education and Industrial Training Department, today in the state of Punjab a door-to-door campaign in the city of Mohali is being organized for the same. In continuation with this effort of the department, as part of this fight, Govt. ITI (women) has organized awareness campaign ‘march on foot’ starting from Phase-5 Mohali to Gurudwara Shri Amb Sahib Chowk at Phase-8.In the able supervision of Principal and District Nodal officer Sh. Shamsher Singh Purkhalvi, the staff and trainees of Govt. ITI (w) Mohali carried banners, placards and charts presenting the message of preventive measures to be taken against Corona which were being stared and read by every passer by passing from there. After reaching at the Chowk, on this occasion, the students who were in institute uniform under the instructions of Smt. Amritbir Kaur Hundal, instructor of the institute, made people aware orally as well as through gestures and also they distributed the pamphlets to the people when the red light of traffic signal was on at the chowk. 

During this campaign the entire staff and students adhering to the guidelines issued by the Health Department, properly wore masks and gloves and followed the social distancing norms. This noble initiative is being appreciated by each and every section of the society and being happy and overwhelmed with the campaign of the institution some passersby were also seen distributing eatables to the trainees of the institute.Present on this occasion, the Principal of the institute Mr. Shamsher Purkhalvi said in the war against Corona, while more than 15 lakh masks have been prepared by the department, the students of ITI Mohali made 44561 masks through their own means and distributed free of cost among the health workers, sanitation workers, migrant labourers, police employees, gardeners, drivers and other needy people, for which the institution is being specially honoured by the Punjab government. This door to door campaign under Mission Fateh was made successful under the role of Superintendent Mr. Avtar Singh, Sh. Gurbachan Singh, Instuctor Mr. Rakesh Kumar Dhalla, Insructor Mr. Varinderpal Singh Khalsa, Placement Officer Mr. Paramjitpal Singh,  Mr. Vikramjit Singh Bains, Mrs. Anjali, Mrs. Upasana Attri, Mrs. Darshana Kumari, Mrs. Amritbir Kaur Hundal, Mrs. Jasvir Kaur, Mrs. Rajni Banga, Mrs. Shavi Goyal, Mr. Parvinder Kumar, Mr. Maninderpal Singh, Mr. Rohit Kaushal, Kumari Alka, Miss Arshdeep Kaur Sohal and the whole staff and many of the students of the institute.
