District Development Commissioner Bandipora Ravinder Kumar Monday convened a meeting of officers to review the physical and financial progress of projects approved under PMGSY in the district.On the occasion DDC directed the officers to speed up the works taken up under PMGSY including macadamisation of roads.He directed the officers and executing agencies to ensure completion of all works within the stipulated time frame and also stressed for regular field visits to ensure works are executed in time and under set targets.The DDC lauded the efforts of the officials in connecting with people from far flung areas and said right from the beginning PMGSY has been playing an important role in connecting the far flung areas .He instructed the officers to work with utmost dedication and zeal besides maintain the quality while executing the work and establish a close liaison with the local population so that the progress and quality of the work can be monitored by the public for whom these developmental activities are carried out.He also cautioned the field staff to remain vigilant and monitor the progress on a daily basis.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Joint Director Planning, SDM Sumbal, DFO Bandipora and other senior officers of the district.
