Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of officers from line departments including PDD, Irrigation and Jal Shakti departments and asked them to prioritise public importance works in the district.During the meeting, the DC reviewed the physical and financial progress of the ongoing projects in the district.While reviewing the progress department wise, the DC exhorted for prioritizing such works, projects which can generate more man days so that more workers, labourers are engaged and that they are able to earn their livelihood as they have most suffered due to lockdown amid Coronavirus.While engaging workers, he directed the concerned officers to strictly follow the guidelines related to COVID-19 like wearing face masks during work, maintaining social distance, using sanitizers and frequent hand washing.The DC stressed upon the concerned agencies to monitor the execution of ongoing works in the district by way of frequent field visits and also sought cooperation from line departments in changing the developmental scenario of the district.Among others, ADC Ganderbal, ACR Ganderbal, SE PDD, SE R&B, Dy SP HQ Ganderbal and other concerned district officers attended the meeting.
