Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the meeting of Ministers, MPs, BJP MLAs  and BJP candidates of Assembly Elections-2017  through video conferencing from  Shimla today  thanked  them for extending  their  wholehearted cooperation to the State Government to check the spread of corona virus in the State.Chief Minister also asked  them to motivate the party functionaries in their respective areas to keep a close watch on the persons coming from other parts of the country to their native places so that they  follow the protocol of home quarantine and do not mix up with local people till their quarantine period was over.Jai Ram Thakur said that cooperation of representatives of PRIs  should also be sought in checking the spread of corona and it must be ensured that   foolproof arrangements were made for quarantine of the coming persons. He said that  general public in their respective areas should be urged to  maintain proper social distancing and also wear face cover. He said that party functionaries should motivate the  people to download ‘Aarogya Setu App’. He said that they should also educate the people regarding social stigma associated with the disease. He said that this was mere viral  infection and one should fight the disease and not the affected person.Jai Ram Thakur said that they must ensure that the house has adequate facilities to keep the person under  home quarantine. He said that all the party functionaries must ensure that no one in their areas particularly the migrant labourers are left starving.Chief Minister said that the party  workers must also provide adequate face masks and face covers to the needy and also sensitize the people about its benefits. He said that any kind of social functions and  gatherings should also be avoided.Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur also shared his views on the occasion.
