The work with regard to the construction of the Kharar flyover at Balongi has resumed in full swing and at present erection work is being undertaken on W4 stretch i.e. fourth layer of the flyover." This was disclosed here today by the SDM Kharar Himanshu Jain.He further said that keeping in view the situation developing due to corona virus disease, all safety precautions have been ensured specially with regard to the workers engaged in work at the site. He also said that the social distancing guidelines are being followed meticulously and also the workers are being screened and provided with safety gear.The SDM further elaborated that the work on bus stand to Khanpur, Khanpur to Hospital Road and Ropar service road besides that of sidelanes till airport road would be completed by month end. Furthermore, the bridge would be demolished by the end of May and then the construction of the approach road would start. Giving more details, he said that the construction work on the upper flyover would be completed by 15th June and the first flyover would see completion by the end of August.
