In wake of ongoing covid-19 pandemic, district administration in collaboration with Jai Baba Shivo Shrine Board Development Committee, Goran today distributed free 100 ration kits and relief material among the drivers and cleaners of unorganised sector in district samba.Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria informed that amidst imposition of lockdown the administration had received various reports that drivers and cleaners of commercial vehicles were facing acute shortage of ration, essential goods and earnings. He said that district administration samba have identified 370 such drivers and cleaners working in district samba from concerned Departments and today 100 such workers were provided with free ration and cash and rest will be covered in coming days.He further said that administration is taking concrete efforts in assisting migrants, workers and unorganised labourers to ensuing availability of essential commodities.During the distribution Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikas Gupta, Assistant Road Transport Officer Rehana Tabassum, Tehsildar Samba Avtar Jasrotia, president of Jai Baba Shivo shrine Dev Raj besides other official and representatives of Board were also present.
