In a unique initiative to make people aware of detailed information related to COVID-19, the Information and Public Relations Department Punjab has launched whatsapp bot and chat bot on Facebook in association with Facebook.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson said that this initiative would be instrumental to enable any person desirous of seeking relevant information related to COVID-19.Referring to the steps for using whatsapp bot, the Spokesperson said that first of all people would have to save the COVID helpline no 7380173801 in their mobile phones and send a message ‘Hi’ on this number. Afterwards, read all the options displayed on the mobile screen  carefully and press 5 to change and select one of the three languages i.e. Hindi, Punjabi and English.After this, select related option to your question to get the answer and press zero to enter in main menu.Likewise, one can seek information regarding COVID-19 through chatbot on Facebook.  First of all open ‘Punjab Government Page’ on Facebook and like the same so as to receive every important notification. Then click on send message button to reach on messenger and carefully watch options to select language of your choice from Hindi, Punjabi and English. If you desire to get information regarding COVID-19 then click the option displayed there on ‘covid19 info’. If you want any information regarding shops dealing with daily needs click on the option of ‘essential shops’.The Spokesperson further said that as many as 21 options are available related to COVID-19.If you want to have more information and answer to more than one question, then press the ‘go back button’ to select option of your choice. If you are not getting any option of your choice, then click on ‘more options’. If you are unable to find your district on it, then you should click ‘more options’ and also click on your district name to download the list of all shopkeepers selling essential commodities in your district, added the spokesperson.
