At the time when whole world is fighting COVID-19 maintained hygiene, social distancing and lockdown but here in our Kashmir Contaimaned water is being provided to the people of Jhangerpora Sangrama village of North Kashmir's Baramulla district by PHE( public health engineering ) department and people are forced to search pure water away from homes despite lockdown and Social distancing.Villagers while talking to 5 Dariya news said, During this Pandamic Covid 19 Polluted water is coming from tap pipes in our village posses threat among inhabitants during these days.Shahid Ahmad a resident told, Despite two water filtration plants has been established in our village from last couple of years by the department, but the water is being provided to sopore and its adjacent viccinities but not our village.He added that we have continously demanded the Authorities to give us water from one the filtration plant located in our village but repeated attempts authorities failed to do it from years.Another villager told that we have 500 house holds include above 2000 Population in village is at risk to use this bad water which is directly coming from local Nallah is populated and is impossible to use it during this time when deadly covid 19 is increase day by day in valley.

Aijaz lone a Youth &Social Activist told, that recently government of India's successful program back to village programme I reaffirm officers on this particular social issue and they assured me there the it will looked and solved on priority basis.He added women's have crossed the way faroff to search the pure water during the time when the govt has imposed lockdown and Social distancing, is not possible in our village due to lack of pure water.We again appealed and urged the local administration to look into this genuine issue to the public welfare and give the water from already established tanks to ,so that the village populace could be saved by the different diseases and this long pending demand could also fulfilled.When Contacted Assistant Engineer PHE sub division Sopore Gh Hassan Najar he said, Basically the line is crossed in ningee nallah stream where pipes washed away by water because of incessant rains last couple days and the mud water in stream goes directly in the pipes and water becomes contaminated."Gushing water in stream became hurdle for us Tomorrow morning we will start work again and are hope the issue will be sort out within our's" he addedWhen asked the village wanted water from filtration plant, he said "the filtration plant has no more capacity to add more Population",
