District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar convened a meeting with the Imams and Health Experts on COVID - 19 precautionary measure and preventions, here today.The DDC on the occasion sought cooperation from the Imams to play their role in creating mass awareness regarding the disease.He appealed the Imams to inform the public regarding the preventions and precautionary measures to avert the infection, besides avoid organizing gatherings. He added that imams can play an important role in creating the awareness.Earlier, the Experts from SKIMS Srinagar through a Power Point Presentation educated the Imams regarding preventions and precautionary measures including cleanliness, avoiding hugs & handshakes, cleaning hands frequently, using sensitizers and other precautionary measures to avoid the infection. It was followed by a question and answer session and the Imams assured full cooperation for the public safety.Among others CMO Anantnag, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Anantnag, Health Experts from SKIMS Srinagar, DIO Anantnag and Tehsildar Anantnag attended the meeting.
