Secretary Power Development Department, M. Raju, chaired a meeting today to discuss the rollout plan of amnesty scheme for the power consumers of Jammu and Kashmir divisions.The Secretary PDD directed the concerned MDs and Chief Engineers to put in place dedicated notice boards and helpdesks in the offices for ease of information to the consumers about the contours of the scheme.The meeting also took stock of follow up action regarding the directions of Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy R. K. Singh for strengthening of transmission and distributions network across the Jammu and Kashmir.Instructions were issued to the corporations to immediately submit the DPRs for up-gradation and improvement of T&D networks so that it can be taken-up with the Ministry of Power, Government of India for release of funds.In anticipation of rise in demand of power in the up-coming summer season, the Secretary directed the concerned to be prepared to meet all the eventualities arising during the peak load season.Managing Director Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. (JPDCL), Yasha Mudgul, Chief Engineers and other concerned attended the meeting.
