National Lok Adalat pertaining to all types of cases was held at District court Complex, Rajouri under the Chairmanship of Jaffer Hussain Being, Principal District and Session Judge, Rajouri.Total three branches were constituted. The first bench was headed by Kusum Lata Pandiya, Additional District and Session Judge, Rajouri assisted by O.P Thakur, Chief Judicial Magistrate. The Second bench was headed by Meyank Gupta, District Judicial Mobile Magistrate and assisted by Shaheen Ahmed Khan, P.P Rajouri, while the third bench was headed by Sheraz Chouhan, Tehsildar Rajouri.Similar benches were also constituted at Tehsil level, which were headed by the Presiding Officers of the respective Courts.During the National Lok Adalat a total of 520 cases both Pre- Litigation and Post - Litigation cases were taken up and out of which 425 cases were disposed off. An amount of Rupees 84,55,800 settled and 30 MACT cases were taken up out of which 26 were settled and an amount of Rupees 82,32,000 was awarded as compensation .
