Deputy Commissioner, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie today flagged off 44 youth associated with Nehru Yuva Kendra Budgam on 16 days tour to Pune and Hyderabad under J&K Youth Cultural Exchange programme. The flag off function organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan and supported by Ministry of Home Affairs was held at approaching Railway Road Budgam. Under the programme the youths from different villages of the district shall visit various historical and cultural sites and other prominent places and shall interact with youth of various others states. DC who earlier interacted with youth said that aim is to provide opportunities to these youth to visit various places and meet people from other states to learn about different cultures and to acquaint them to latest technologies and dynamic development in these states. He said these youth will also gain experiences on becoming self dependant and become responsible citizens under such programmes.District Coordinator NYK Budgam, Wali Mohammad Lone who was also present on the occasion said that during tour the youth shall also interact with various prominent sportsmen and educationists of those areas and this is a great opportunity for youth going on this cultural tour.
