In order to raise the 220 KV HT line tower at Sunny Enclave for Flyover approach construction (near Holy Wonder school), traffic diversion Schedule from 01 February, 2020, 10:00 Hrs to 02 February, 2020, 24:00 hrs has been released.Disclosing this, the SDM Kharar Himanshu Jain said that the heavy Vehicles coming from Ropar towards Chandigarh to be diverted to Landan road from Kharar bus stand junction and the light vehicles coming from Ropar/Ludhiana to Chandigarh to be diverted at service road from sunny enclave to Desumajra.He also said that as per the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, in view of the construction of an underpass by the larsen and tubro company at Balongi for the purpose of Chandigarh-Kharar flyover, the traffic from 1st February would be diverted from the service road which has been prepared alonsgside the bridge on the left side. Apart from this, from 6th February, the traffic going from Kharar-Chandigarh would be diverted from the service road prepared alongside the bridge. These orders would be in force till further orders. He further elaborated that water pipes would be laid out by the company at village Kharar in pillar no. 127-128. In order to ensure the smooth inflow of traffic in view of the above mentioned project, on the 1st of February, 2020 the traffic coming from Kurali would be diverted via Khanpur Road to Ludhiana Road and would be made to turn from Captain Chowk to be diverted via Hospital Road. Apart from this, on the 2nd February, the traffic coming from Chandigarh and Landran Road would be diverted via Hospital Road. These orders would be in force on the dates mentioned above from 11 pm till 5 am.
