District grievances redressal committees proving beneficial for public : Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria

More than 70 percent issues have been resolved during the meeting of district grievances redressal committee held here at meeting hall of District Administrative Complex, on Monday, under the Chairmanship of Housing, Urban Development and Water Resources Minister, Punjab Mr. Sukbinder Singh Sarkaria. While elaborating the information, the cabinet minister said that the committees formed by Punjab Government to resolve the issues and complaints of citizens at district-level are proving beneficial for public.Cabinet minister informed that most of the issues were related with cleanliness, stray animals, condition of roads, availability of potable water and health facilities. He added that following his instructions during the last meeting, the district administration has efficiently resolved more than 70 percent issues before today’s meeting.While issuing strict directions to doctors appointed at government health facilities, Mr. Sarkaria said that the doctors should follow the guidelines of the government while prescribing medicines to the patients otherwise defaulters would have to face strict action. He also ordered to submit a detailed report about Jan Aushdi and other issues at government health facility at Dhanaula town of the district before the next meeting of the committee. He also directed the administrative officials to precisely submit the action taken reports on the issues raised by the members and asked the deputy commissioner to verify the reports by sending senior officials on the spot.On this occasion, Barnala DC Tej Partap Singh Phoolka, MLA Kulwant Singh Pandori, SSP Harjit Singh, ADC Ruhee Dugg, Assitant Commissioner Dr. Karamjit Singh, DDPO Sanjeev Sharma and committee members along with other administrative officials were also present.
