District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana today convened a meeting to review the functioning of health department and took stock of availability of drugs and medicines in health institutions of Kishtwar.Joint Director Planning Kishtwar, Mohd Iqbal, CMO Kishtwar, Dr. Ravinder Manhas, Deputy CMO Kishtwar Dr. Yaqoob, BMO Paddar, Chatroo, Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan and Kishtwar besides concerned officers and officials of health department attended the meeting.CMO Kishtwar apprised the DDC that the emergency medicines are available in suffice quantity at health institutions for ensuing two months but items required for the management of emergency like syringes, gloves, medicates, bandages, cotton, TT, drips etc are running short in the health institutions.He directed all the BMO's to ensure availability of medicines with presence of staff, cleanliness and proper functioning of health institutions.DDC stressed for giving due attention and care towards the sufferings of poor patients of rural areas and asked officers to play pivotal role while ensuring best health care facilities in rural areas.CMO Kishtwar was directed to make a roaster for Medical Officers of Marwah and Warwan in coming winter season so that health care facilities shall be provided to common masses at their door steps without fail.
