To assess the progress on the decisions taken during B2V1, the visiting officers today held detailed deliberations with the Panchs, Sarpanchs and concerned officers across 137 Panchayats of 9 blocks of Kathua district including border sub division Hiranagar. District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat along with MD, JK Agro Industries Development Corporation, Bhawani Rakwal and ACD, Sukhpal Singh visited Bhed Blore Panchayat where they inspected the ongoing development works. JK Agro Industries Development Corporation organized an exhibition of farm equipments and their schemes for the farmers. The day witnessed Eye screening camp at SDH Parole, awareness event on Village Health Nutrition Day(VHND) at Mirpur Ram Panchayat, preparation of GPDP at Dhamlar Panchayat, inauguration of completed works at Upper Mahanpur and several other panchayats.The designated officers also assessed the functioning of each Panchayat and discussed the difficulties being faced by the members in carrying out development works. They also interacted with Frontline Government functionaries, social activists/NGOs, prominent citizens, retired teachers, Govt. employees and ex-serviceman to know the core problems of the areas.
