Commissioner Secretary PDD, Hirdesh Kumar Singh today laid foundation stone of a 33 KV receiving station as part of B2V-2 programme here at Draman village of Bhoond block. The project will be completed at a cost of Rs. 2.91 Crore. After laying the foundation stone, Hirdesh Kumar informed the villagers that block Basohli, Bani and Bhoond will receive quality power after commissioning of this receiving station.The Constitution Day was also celebrated by the designated officers in their respective panchayats by reading the Preamble of the Constitution and Fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution.The designated officers assessed the functioning of Panchayats and discussed the difficulties being faced by the members in carrying out its functions and development works. They also interacted with Frontline Government functionaries, social activists/NGOs, prominent citizens, retired teachers, Govt. employees and ex-serviceman.Inspection of schools, Panchayat Ghar, banks, PHCs, B2V-1 works and other development works of the villages were also done by the visiting officers.Free LPG connections under Ujjwala scheme and sports kit were presented to the beneficiaries at different panchayats.The DDC Kathua O P Bhagat, ACD Sukhpal Singh, Dy. Director Employment D C Bhatti, Dy. Conservator of Forest Rahul Singh, SDM Bani Joginder Singh besides other designated officers were present during the programme at their respective panchayats.
