With a pledge to follow the teachings and philosophy of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji in our lives, the curtains fell today for the spectacular Light and Sound show being organized by the Punjab government since November 4 here at the PUDA city ground.The magnificent multimedia light and sound show, which continued for 14 days, remained a huge attraction for devotees coming at Sultanpur Lodhi during the functions to mark the 550th parkash purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji. The spectacular light and sound show with Multi laser show, Grand 200 feet stage, Water curtain projection, Hydraulics on stage, Projection mapping with surround sound sound and others regaled the audience. Likewise, hundreds of theatre artists gave their live performances during the event. The live performances by renowned Punjabi singers like Mr. Harbhajan Mann, Mr. Satinder Sartaj, Mr. Lakhwinder Wadali and Mr. Pammu Dumewal also mesmerized the audience besides connecting the devotees especially the youngsters with the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Meanwhile, MLA from Sultanpur Lodhi Mr. Navtej Singh Cheema was the chief guest of the event on the concluding day. In his address, the MLA said that this path breaking initiative of the state government was aimed at acquainting the younger generations of the state with the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji by using the hi-end technology. He said that the Captain Amarinder Singh led state government in the state was leaving no stone unturned for perpetuating the glorious heritage of the state amongst the people especially the youngsters. Mr. Cheema further said that the show was a humble and befitting tribute to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji by the state government.The MLA said that light and sound show beautifully projected Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's philosophy in the form of his universal message to our society. He said that show also brought alive the ethos of tolerance, peace, communal harmony, women empowerment and protection of natural resources, which were the basic tenets of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji’s philosophy. Mr. Cheema called upon the people to follow the teachings of the great Guru Sahib for carving out a harmonious society.On the occasion, Punjabi folk Singer Mr. Pamma Dumewal regaled the audience through his mesmerizing voice.
