Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar today flagged off a team of Table Tennis Players from Kashmir division along with the officials to participate in 42nd J&K State Table Tennis Championship in Jammu.Secretary Youth Services & Sports Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary Jammu Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) Dr Naseem Choudhary, Chairman Jammu Kashmir Table Tennis Association K Ajay Sharma, officials of JKSSC were present on the occasion.The State Level Championship is scheduled to be held in Jammu from October 18-22 in which teams from all the districts are participating.The Advisor on the occasion interacted with the players representing their districts in the State Level Championship. The Advisor while interacting with them listened to the demands raised by the players and asked Secretary JKSSC to look into them.Sports kits were also distributed to the participating players by the Advisor who wished them all the best for the championship. He asked JKSSC to provide all possible support to the players during the championship and ensure that they don't feel any inconvenience during their stay in Jammu.The Advisor also enquired about other ongoing activities of JKSSC to promote sports culture among youth and efforts to engage youth in sports activities. He asked the officers to expedite the projects undertaken by them for up-gradation of sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
