Former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar met Governor Kalraj Mishra at Raj Bhavan, Shimla today. Wife of Shanta Kumar, Santosh Shailja was also present on the occasion.In a cordial atmosphere, they discussed various issues in detail. Shanta Kumar welcomed Kalraj Mishra in Himachal Pradesh as Governor and hoped that the State would get his valuable support and guidance that will lead hill state on rapid path of development. He said that Governor has a long political experience and is well versed with Himachal. In such a situation, the State would get their guidance in development.Shanta Kumar also presented books written by him to the Governor. Governor discussed various issues with Shanta Kumar, especially on health, education, infrastructure development, environmental protection and cultural promotion in the hilly region and also showed his concern about drug menace in the State. He emphasized on the need to fight this evil and illegal trade of drugs and awareness in the youth.He said that with the cooperation of all and the efforts of the government, the state was moving on the path of rapid development and he would also give his support.
