Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, office bearers of various political parties, public representatives, Civil and Military Officers and prominent persons from all walks of life gave an emotional farewell to Governor Acharya Devvrat in a farewell ceremony held here at Raj Bhawan today.On this occasion, Acharya Devvrat said that during his tenure of about four years, he received full support and cooperation from the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, members of both ruling and Opposition parties and the general public. He thanked everyone for their support due to which he could pursue public welfare activities in the state.He said that with the support of all sections of the society his mission of welfare could be successful. He said that the Chief Minister assured him that this work of public welfare will continue in the state. The state is progressing in the right direction under the leadership of Jai Ram Thakur and added that his passion for development will achieve new milestones in the development of the state. 

He called upon the youth of the state to abandon the tendency of addiction and become partners in the development of the state and devote themselves to service of the nation.Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the Governor established a direct dialogue with the public on issues of national and public interest. He made the common man aware of these issues and made important contributions to the economic and social development of the state.He said that the issues raised by the Governor on social welfare and development of the state will be completed by the government and implemented in a firm manner.The Chief Minister said that natural farming is an important subject for development of the state, in which farmers and horticulturists have shown keen interest. Natural farming will prove to be a boon for the income and prosperity of the farmers. He said that this important topic will be carried forward with active involvement of the government machinery.
