Health Department Issues Oral Health Helpline Number

The health department on Tuesday has released oral health helpline (1800-11-2032) number for the general public. The civil surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga along with district dental health officer Dr Gurinder Kaur, Dental Surgeon Dr Amarjeet Singh Riar released the number and its posters.The civil surgeon said that the banners and posters having depicting the number will be installed in all government hospitals or health centres for the facility of the people from where they can get any kind of help regarding the dental problem. He said that the experts will remain available round and clock on the helpline for the assistance of patients.The civil surgeon said that health department has observed the world oral health week from March 20 to 26 and special dental camps were held. He said that the medical teams also examined the teeth of the school students and made them aware of various types of illness during the week-long activities. He appealed the people to visit the dentists after every six months for the check-up and to get examined their teeth in the camps.
