District Red Cross Society Distributes 100 Sweaters To Needy Students Of Nehru Garden School

In a unique initiative aimed at helping the students of needy and underprivileged sections of the society, the District Red Cross society today distributed 100 sweaters to the students of the Government Senior Secondary School Nehru Garden.The Pro-President of the District Red Cross Mrs. Praveen Sharma, Principal of School Mrs. Gurinderjit Kaur and Secretary Red Cross Mr. Paramjit Singh distributed these sweaters to the school students. Speaking on the occasion the Pro-President of District Red Cross said that this initiative was aimed at helping these students to face the wrath of the winter season. She said that it was a humanitarian gesture aimed at ensuring the studies of these students was carried without any sort of obstacle. Mrs. Sharma said that the District Red Cross was committed for providing a healing touch to the needy students to ensure that they could excel in their studies and enlighten their future. Meanwhile, Principal of the school Mrs. Gurinderjit Kaur lauded the district Red Cross Society for taking this initiative to boost girl education. She said that it would encourage the girls especially from the needy and underprivileged strata of the society to get education and ensure a bright future.
