Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission Manisha Gulati today said that the commission is keeping a close watch on the entire issue and maintained that the culprits behind this unfortunate incident would not be spared. She said this while speaking to media persons during a press conference held here today evening.Manisha Gulati said that she had met Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today and had demanded that the severest punishment be given to the guilty. She also appreciated the efforts of Ludhiana (Rural) Police for solving the entire case and arresting all the accused persons.During the press conference, she said that the commission is keeping a close watch on the entire issue and maintained that the guilty would not be spared at any cost. She said that today, she had had interacted with SSP Ludhiana (Rural) Varinder Singh Brar, DSP Dakha Harkamal Kaur and other senior officials are had sought update over this issue. She said that the commission has taken serious note of this issue and have asked the state government to formulate a strict plan so that no such incidents take place in Punjab in near future.The Chairperson informed that she would be meeting the victim shortly and would see what further can be done in this regard. She also assured all possible support to the victim.Prominent among those present on the occasion included SSP Ludhiana (Rural) Varinder Singh Brar, DSP Dakha Harkamal Kaur, besides several others.
