In a bid to promote dedication and devotion towards duty among the police personnel, DGP Punjab Suresh Arora honoured Assistant Sub-Inspector Karamjit Singh (905/Kpt) and Head Constable Jagdish Kumar (1047/Kpt), posted at Kapurthala, with class one commendation certificates along with cash award of Rs 5,000 each. Interacting with cops he disclosed that as many as 4000 police personnel would be promoted shortly and the process has already been initiated by the department.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of Punjab Police said both traffic cops of Kapurthala found a wallet lying on the road having important documents as well as Indian and foreign currency. ASI Karamjit Singh and HC Jagdish Kumar contacted the owner of wallet Jagbir Singh and handed over his belongings to him. The owner of the wallet conveyed his sincere gratitude to the police officials.During a cup of tea with duo, DGP Arora said Punjab Police is proud of both the cops for displaying honesty and honorable spirit.ADGP Security R N Dhoke, ADGP Mondernisation  SK Asthana and Staff Officer/DGP Arun Saini were also present on the occasion.
