A meeting of the district presidents, halqa presidents and other wing presidents was held today at Chandigarh today. The co-president of Aam Aadmi Party, Dr. Balbir Singh, MP Bhagwant Mann, Lop Adv. Harpal Singh Cheema and MLA Meet Hayer attended the meeting.The press release issued from the party headquarters said that the problems being faced by party at present and possible solution for same were discussed during the meeting. A majority of office bearers suggested to take action against Sukhpal Singh Khaira and Kanwar Sandhu for their efforts to break the party but Bhagwant Mann said that he will try to reach out the leaders and would try to convince them. Mann said that MLAs are in touch with him and he is sure that they will fall in the line soon and would work to strengthen the party.Mann said that he will be meeting the people throughout the state in coming days and would be holding meetings at Bathinda, Faridkot, Mansa, Moga and Sri Mukatsar Sahib. He said that he would not let the people from other parties to break the party.
Addressing the party office bearers, Mann said that this the testing time for the party workers and he is sure that the workers would not let him down. He asked the NRI people to aware people about mischievous ideas of few people to break the party.Talking about the audio tape, Mann said that his approach was to pacify agitating people and request them to avoid distrupting Arvind Kejriwal rally.Replying to the question of his present status as state president, Mann said that he does not need any position to raise the voice of people. He said that he will talk to Arvind Kejriwal about the issue. It was decided that the meeting of Manish Sisodia scheduled for August 13 has been postponed but the office bearers will go to Issru on August 15 to pay tribute to Shaheed Karnail Singh Issru.Dr. Balbir Singh, Adv. Harpal Cheema, Meet Hayer, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Dr. Ravjot Singh, Dalbir Singh Dhillon, Gurdit Singh Sekhon, Ms. Raj Lalli Gill and Manjinder Singh Sidhu also addressed the meeting.
