Labour Dept provides Rs 36.20 lakh assistance to beneficiaries

Labour Department has benefitted 470 eligible beneficiaries (Labourers) by providing them Rs 36.20 Lakh financial aid including Educational Assistance for their wards.An amount Rs 33,95,000 was given to 441 beneficiaries of district Udhampur through DBT by transferring money directly into the beneficiaries account, while cheques worth Rs 2.25 Lakh were presented to 29 beneficiaries at their doorsteps during an awareness cum cheque distribution camp at Tehsil Majalta, here today, a  labour department handout state.The camp was held under the supervision of Assistant Labour Commissioner Arti Bhardwaj.The Assistant Labour Commissioner also answered the queries raised by the labourers present at the camp. She also advised them   to stay away from the agent system.
