In order to ensure the ease of doing business in the state and redressal of all issues of industrialists, the deputy commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal on Saturday chaired the first meeting of grievances committee under single window system at the office of district industries centre. In the meeting that lasted for nearly two hours, deputy commissioner (DC), Pradeep Kumar Agrawal informed the industrialists about ‘Business First portal’ an exclusive online system to facilitate them for all mandatory regulatory clearances and fiscal approvals at a common platform. He said that very soon, the portal will start functioning and there will not be any delay in clearing all applications. It is part of the new industrial policy, which would be implemented soon.Further, the government has taken new initiatives including District level approvals for the micro industry by the committee under deputy commissioner up to Rs. 10 crores hence the industrialists will not be required to travel to Chandigarh every time, he added.On the shortage of manpower, DC revealed the industrialists that government has created its own website www.ghargharrozgar.

punjab.gov.in at where they can search for the job seekers of various fields who have submitted their bio-data on the portal, according to their needs by just putting the keywords like age, qualification, location, experience, and etc.Agrawal stated the employers will have direct communication with the youths who have posted their complete bio-data on the website. The employers can also create job alerts about by putting information about the requirements, interview dates, and detailed description about positions, packages on the webpage, he added.More than 60 industrialists and representatives of various associations raised the various issues on which deputy commissioner asked them to give in writings which can be forwarded to the concern departments and assured that every problem will be solved on top priority.Agrawal also held interactions with new investors who have signed Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with industry department and Startup entrepreneurs.GM District Industries Centre Mahesh Khanna thanked the participants and told them the department will leave no stone unturned to facilitate the industry.
