Mohammad Khalil Bandh reviews implementation of CM’s commitments in Pulwama

Minister for Agriculture Production, Mohammad Khalil Bandh, today convened a meeting to review the status of directions passed by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for the district during her public outreach programme.Minister of State for Forest, PHE/ I&FC Zahoor Ahmed Mir, MLA Tral Mushtaq Ahmed Shah and Ex-MLA Shopian Abdul Razaq Zawoora were also present in the meeting. The meeting was also attended by DDC Pulwama Ghulam Muhammad Dar, SSP Pulwama and other district and sectoral officers.The Agriculture Minister, while reviewing the implementation of the CM’s commitments, directed officers to speed up the implementation of the decisions and directed the officers to complete the works at an earliest.The Minister expressed satisfaction over the performance of the executing agencies that carried out various developmental activities under the CM’s commitments.He impressed upon the executive and implementing agencies for removing all bottlenecks hindering the pace of the development works.To augment the power infrastructure, Bandh announced Rs 20 lakh from his CDF for the creation of a dedicated transformer bank in the district.He also announced Rs 2 Lakh for purchase of diesel Gensets so that water supply from treatment plants remains uninterrupted in the holy month of Ramadan.

The meeting was informed that, out of 180 directions passed by the CM in the Public Darbar, 61 have been implemented so far, while as rest are in different phases of implementation.While giving out the details about the works pertaining to PHE department, the DDC Pulwama said that 23 decisions were implemented including water supply schemes Gundipora, Parigam, and Palpora Naina.Similarly, under R&B sector, 33 decisions were implemented which includes upgradation of Chakoora-Gulzarpora-Dehwatoo road, Pinglena-Ratnipora road, Drabgam-CB Nath road, Drach Bridge, Karimabad link roads, Lajoora Karewa and Uthmulla Marhang road.The DDC also informed the meeting that 13 decisions under Rural Development were also implemented.Whereas, 89 decisions were implemented under PDD, I&FC, Animal Husbandry, Education, Tourism, Home and Banking sectors. On the occasion, Bandh impressed upon the officers to work in synergy for better and early implementation of Chief Minister’s decision.Later, several deputations called on the Minister and apprised him of their problems.Reiterating the commitment of the government in reaching out to all sections of the society, the Minister assured the delegations that all of their genuine demands would be looked into.
