Minister for Agriculture Muhammad Khalil Bandh today visited the mega exhibition of Islamic art objects and rare Quranic manuscripts being showcased at Tourist Reception Center, here on the 4th day.The 5- day exhibition has been organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with the Directorate of Archives, Archeology and Museums, Directorate of Tourism, Directorate of Libraries, INTACH Kashmir Chapter, Shasvat Art Gallery, Peerzada Collection and Hakim collection.During the exhibition a large number of rare documents showcasing various artistic forms of Quranic Calligraphy and Vellum panels were displayed.Showing keen interest in the rare documents and artifacts, the Agriculture Minister appreciated the exhibits for their tremendous historical value.Bandh asked the people behind the exhibition to organize such events regularly so that people will remain aware of their rich cultural heritage.“It is a great opportunity for everyone to explore and connect with our glorious past. These artifacts and manuscripts are a living testimony of our rich culture,” he said on the occasion.A Humdiya/Naatiya Mushaira was also organized by Pulwama artists during the Minister’s visit.Director General Sericulture Tariq Ali Mir, Director of Archives, Archeology and Museum Muneer-ul-Islam, Secretary JKAACL Aziz Hajni, Senior Member INTACH Saleem Beg and other officials were present on the occasion.
