The Vice President of India, M. Venkiah Naidu has said that Innovative blending of heritage restoration, environment protection & employment creation is the best way forward. He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the 16th-century heritage garden complex Sunder Nursery, here today. His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs (I/C), Shri Hardeep Singh Puri and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The Vice President said that Nizamuddin Auliya’s message is timeless and universal. He further said that for Nizamuddin Auliya, like many great saints of India, love of God implied the love of humanity. It is a message that emphasizes love as a means of realizing God, he added. 

The Vice President said that innovative blending of heritage restoration, environment protection and employment creation is the best way forward. He further said that it demonstrates the promising pathway for future projects of restoration of the historical monuments.  Not only are we are preserving the past but we are also laying a foundation for a great, sustainable future, he added.The Vice President said that Sunder Nursery is an excellent example of public-private partnership in an urban development project and is in line with Government’s focus on improving cleanliness as well as quality of life of the citizens. He further said that today is an important day for the historic city of Delhi. Our capital city will have a great addition to its open public spaces in the form of Sunder Nursery, he added.
