While presiding over the Statehood day function at Aani today Chief Minister  Jai Ram Thakur   lauded the initiative of the  Society for protection and rehabilitation of stray animals by district administration Kullu to safe guard the life and health of stray cattle by involving major stakeholders including NGOs and Gram Panchayats.The district administration has launched www.gausparshkullu.org. The society shall monitor th  e gausadans and it was planned to develop gausadans in blocks and a master Gausadan at the district level. A pilot initiative to tag fluorescent collars to any cattle belonging to owners at fringes of highway for increasing visibility and prevent accidents would be ensured, said Deputy Commissioner Kullu Shri  Yunus Khan. He said that that to prevent over crowding of Gausadans a scheme for effective labelling and identification would be undertaken through MICRO chipping the cattle with assistance of Gau Vansh Samvardhan Board and the owners.
