Oakridge International School celebrated One Nation Reading Together. This activity was organized to encourage reading, acquaint children with new books and experience the pleasure and joy of reading together and in silence. In this fast moving world where electronic gadgets have taken over the reigns, it is important to keep alive the enriching habit of reading Students are sure to have benefited from this activity to become avid readers so that they can gain from the unfathomable treasure hiding and stored in the books. Books, which are a person’s best friends they do not demand anything but, are always there to ‘Give’ –knowledge and wisdom.Activity commenced with ringing of the buzzer. Many children read from their choicest books and magazines while others read from their text books. A pleasant calm and silence descended all around since everybody was quiet, busy in reading. The whole school community, including the drivers and the helpers, came together for this prestigious event.Ramanjit  Ghuman  Principal of Oakridge International School , shared her view how this platform   provides students with opportunity and encourages them to develop a love for reading. According to her today's readers will be tomorrow's leaders and to encourage children to read more learn more ultimately lead to better lives. She further encouraged the students to explore and discover from the magical world of books.
