Minister for Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Information Department, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today interacted with various delegations at Drass, who met him and apprised him about the issues pertaining to the area.Chowdhary Zulfkar gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the delegations and issued on spot instructions for their immediate redressal.Keeping in view the harsh winter, the Minister directed the concerned to ensure the food grains till March 2018 are dumped in the area.The Minister was also apprised about the scarcity of cooking gas in the area during winter months. Zulfkar directed the FCS&CA Director Kashmir to look for options to open an extension counter in the area so that people’s grievance gets addressed.The Minister assured the delegations that all the genuine issues would positively be considered and would be resolved at an earliest.Later, the Minister visited Kargil also.
