The District Development Commissioner Kulgam today inaugurated a day-long Seminar Cum Orientation Programme on GST here today.The programme was organized by Commercial Taxes Department in collaboration with NIC Kulgam.During the programme, Representatives of Traders’ Federation, owners of SSI units, shopkeepers, and sectoral officers concerned with commercial tax activities participated in the programme.Deputy Commissioner Commercial Taxes Stamps Kashmir while delivering the inaugural address on GST and its scope said the GST will be a game changer and both businessmen and consumer is beneficiary.Deputy Commissioner who was the chief guest in the seminar said that district administration Kulgam will provide every possible help to tax payer for his smooth enrolment to GST. He said district administration will support the commercial taxes department to organize similar awareness programmes on GST in other towns and remote areas of district also.CTO Anantnag highlighted the advantages of GST and stated that 90% dealers of circle first of Anantnag to Kulgam belongs have received the provisional ID's for enrolment to GSTN.A full question answer session was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Commercial Taxes Department and the team members of commercial taxes office.
