Charanjit Singh Channi asks Rotary Clubs to join hands with government to provide vocational training to youth

The Technical Education Minister Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi has appealed to all Rotary Clubs of the state to tie up with the government for providing vocational education to the youth for which financial aid would be provided by the government.Congratulating the new office bearers of the Kharar Rotary Club at a function held here, Mr. Channi said that Rotary Clubs should sign an agreement with the government to run skill development programs for the youth so that employment could be provided to the maximum youth in the state.The Technical Education Minister said that many private institutions are coming forward for vocational training today, but the rotary club can contribute better in this field because Rotary Clubs do not work for earning profit and the sole aim of the Rotary Clubs is to serve the society.

Mr. Chani also said that the goal of providing employment to every household could also be achieved in a better way through this partnership with Rotary clubs. He proposed that the Rotary Club would aware and mobilize the youth for skill development in this joint venture and government would financial assistance under the skill development mission.Cabinet Minister Channi also asked the club members to complete the process of   buying a piece of land for establishment of the Rotary Club Bhawan Kharar, for which he promised to provide maximum financial assistance by the Punjab Government.Mr. Channi also proposed an idea for the Rotary Clubs that instead of running small projects, one or two big project should be run annually, which will benefit the people as well and the Rotary Club.

Earlier, Former District Governor of  Rotary Mr. Manmohan Singh, senior Members of Rotary Club Kharar Mr. AG Saxena, former President Harnek Singh and newly elected President Mr. Gurmukh Singh informed about the various projects carried out by the Rotary Club Kharar for the social welfare. Besides this, they also informed that the initiative of Rotary Club Kharar of putting the triangle reflectors on vehicles was later adopted in the whole country.On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi also honored the newly elected office bearers of Rotary Club Kharar and members for their outstanding performance in serving the society.Amongst others present on the occasion included, senior members of Rotary Club Kharar Mr. Manmohan Singh, Mr. Ajay Saxena, Former President Harnek Singh, newly elected President Mr. Gurmukh Singh, Mr. Tarlok Anand, Kamal Kumar Verma, Mr. Vijay Rajput and Mr. P.S. Mangat.
