Shiromani Akali Dal today thanked the people of Punjab for reiterating their overwhelming faith in development agenda of SAD-BJP coalition and for creating history to bring back a party government for second term after 46 years.
In a statement issued here today, Party Supremo Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Party President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that these results of Punjab elections were stamp of approval on pro-poor and pro-people policies of SAD-BJP government, who has endorsed its development vision. Promising to carry forward the development agenda of the SAD-BJP government, the SAD leaders said that coalition was committed to fulfill all promises made to the people in its election manifesto. They said that people of Punjab has realized that it was only SAD-BJP government that fulfilled the promises whereas Congress ignored the people after getting vote from them.
They said that intelligent electorate of Punjab has risen above party and personal affiliation in this elections to honour a coalition for accelerating the development of Punjab that remained ignored during five year rule of Congress Party. They said that this fresh pro-development attitude of electorate was a positive signal for Punjab.
Reiterating its commitment to carry forward the development agenda of the government, they said that the first task of the Government was to make Punjab Power Surplus, ensure minimum 8 hour power supply to the farm sector, ensuring effective implementation of Right To Service Act besides empowering the citizen by completing the unfinished task of Governance Reforms.
Seeking the cooperation from the people of Punjab, they said that we have to work collectively to make Punjab no 1 state in the country.
