Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday launched the state's pitch for investment in Singapore with corporates and industrial houses making investment commitments."Pratt and Whitney, a global aviation major, has committed to set up its R&D (research and development) facility in Haryana with an investment of Rs 400 crore," a spokesman said here."The Singapore New Water Authority has agreed to work with the Haryana government for setting up a drinking water institute, and rejuvenation of 14,000 water bodies in the state," he said.According to the spokesman, several leading companies have evinced great interest in setting up units in Haryana. These include Hyflux, Ecosoft, Ascot, and Mapletree Logistics, among others.

Some CEOs have evinced keen interest in setting up smart cities and healthcare units, he said.Khattar is heading a nine-member delegation to Singapore and Hong Kong to attract investment for Haryana.He addressed a closed-door meeting with 30 top Singapore-based CEOs and leading investors in the fields of infrastructure and real estate."The CEOs evinced keen interest in setting up smart cities, solid waste treatment and waste water treatment plants, healthcare units and in the field of insurance," the spokesman said.
