Universal Group of Institutions organised seminar on  Renewable Energy Studies and Concrete Technology .The event was focussed on importance of renewable energy thereby highlighting Green energy. In addition to this, the discussion engulfed the various technologies based on Concrete Technology. Dr. Poonam Syal, Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering Department, NITTTR Sec26, Chandigarh & Sanjeev Kaul, HOD Civil Engineering Department, CCET Sec 26 Chandigarh were key note speaker at the moment. Dr. Poonam Syal touched the various renewable energy sources such as sunlight, geothermal heat, wind, tides, water and various forms of biomass. She further also discussed various Government schemes and their usage pattern. Sanjeev Kaul mainly focused on various areas of Concrete Technology. 

He discussed the optimum water   ratio .Later, he touched the design criteria. He  also discussed the various projects and its benefits.Chairman UGI Dr. Gurpreet Singh said that such discussions provide a platform to the students to discuss and enrich themselves with the vast knowledge from experienced academicians in the field of related fields. He later, motivated the students to learn more and take inspiration to excel in profession and serve the country with dedication. He further called upon the students to be equipped with knowledge to meet the challenges of environmental degradation, depleting natural resources, limited availability of land for buildings and fast changing technology and to meet the changing needs of the society of the developing Indian Nation. He further impressed upon the students to broaden their vision for long term planning to cope with the changing needs of a country.
