Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday cautioned that turn coats are on prowl to vitiate the atmosphere of tranquility in the state and are striving to give communal color to the forthcoming democratic exercise in Kashmir Valley.PDP’s Srinagar district president and upper house member Mohammad Khurshid Alam said that the people who are at present hell bent to instigate people on communal lines and making every attempt to tear apart the JK’s secular fabric should at least for one look at their past. “The people at present are seeking votes for those who earlier for them were the killers of innocents and were often referred by them as war mongers. Politics demand credibility- something that look alien to those who are out in open to seek votes for NC’s Srinagar candidate,” PDP Srinagar president said in a statement to KNS.

He adds that during the previous parliamentary elections, the people who were at logger heads are at present fostering the bonds of trust and new friendship.” Do they think that people are so naïve that they will be trapped by such a cheap deceit? Wasn’t NC the mother of all problems in JK by the person who at present is supporting them? Wasn’t Abdullah family the greatest ever thugs for him during the poll campaign of 2014. Has he found in them the messiah or it is merely attempt to deceive people by instigating communal hatred,” Alam said.He adds that Jammu and Kashmir is known in the outer world as the place of communal harmony and tolerance and any person who has tried to create a wedge has been rejected en-masse by the people. “NCC’s rout like that of 2014 is inevitable. It is because of such situation that it is now hiring the turn-coats to raise religion and issues that are not even pertinent at present,” Alam said, adding that NC should stop hiding behind the turn coats and should face PDP on political turf.
