In a major boost for the upcoming 2017 Punjab Elections, Aam Aadmi Party today nominated the prominent Dalit face in Punjab, Paramjit Singh Kainth as one of its Star Campaigners in Punjab. Amongst the names of 40 Star Campaigners, Paramjit Singh Kainth holds the distinction for being a crusader for the Scheduled Castes in Punjab since the past 30 years and has actively been involved in the social and political sphere of Punjab.Upholding the Party’s policy of choosing honest individuals, Aam Aadmi Party chose a Dalit face who has been fighting against the injustices against the Scheduled Castes in Punjab and someone who has deep knowledge and intellect to fight against the evil powers that have corrupted the prosperous state of Punjab.
While talking to the media, Kainth said, “The responsibility that the Party has bestowed over me will not be left unfulfilled, the fight for Scheduled Castes in Punjab is a fight against the inequality and injustice, focusing towards a social transformation where every section of the society is regarded equal. I and my team shall put in all our resources and effort to make Punjab a bright spot on the face of our nation and a State where Scheduled Castes are treated equally and given their due recognition in the society. Aam Aadmi Party is a clear winner in the upcoming Punjab Elections and a major factor towards that win would be the Scheduled Castes community.”In the past, Kainth has been involved in various crusades for the Scheduled castes like the Post Matric Scholarship for the Scheduled Castes, Allocation of the 1/3rd Village Common land and other issues which have deprived the community.
Kainth further stated that he shall work tirelessly to bring the Aam Aadmi Party to power in Punjab and the Akali-BJP and Congress government who play a friendly match amongst themselves shall be brought to an end. The business relationship that these parties have in Punjab, to loot and corrupt the State is known to the people and the fake promises that the Scheduled Castes community has been given in the past shall not work this time. Aam Aadmi Party has given this major responsibility to us and this positive relationship between the Party and the Scheduled Castes community in Punjab will prove as a benchmark to all of the Scheduled Castes in India.”
He said, “Congress was almost finished in Punjab and their friendly relationship with the Akali BJP was becoming evident to everyone but with the rise of popular vote for the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress now has to nominate their stalwart leaders against the Akali BJP candidates, something which was not seen in the past, when weak candidates were fielded against each other for mutual benefits.” Kainth also added that he was thankful to the Party leadership for this opportunity to serve his community and usher them and the State of Punjab to a brighter future.
