The girls of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri  Shikha Sharma, Reshu, Shivani Singh and Garima won silver trophy in Inter College Badminton tournament organized by PTU .In these competitions, twelve teams from different colleges of Punjab participated. In the first round CGC Jhanjeri team beat Sachdeva Engg. College,  Gharuan. The Jhanjeri team won the semifinals by recording wins over RIEIT, Railmajra and CCP Landran and finally won the silver trophy by capturing runners up position. Apart from winning this prestigious position, Shikha Sharma of CGC Jhanjeri brought further laurels to the college by getting selected as a member of PTU’s University team for taking part in Inter University Badminton Tournaments of the country.Congratulating the team and their coach, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC declared special cash prizes for the girls of the winning team. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General, said that it is matter of a great pride for the college that our students will represent PTU in Inter University tournaments. According to him  participation in such games  increases child's physical coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental acumen and athletic abilities which helps students to participate at national & Global level .
