Cultural show East meets West organized at Saupin’s School

Students of  Saupin’s School, Sector 32  presented  a cultural show  East Meets West  to  commence month long program  promote World Tourism day at its campus .The purpose of this event is to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value. The programme included recitation of poems, an English play Atithi Devo Bhava, and scintillating dance performances.  The themes for this competition were Tourism Celebrating Diversity, Tourism and World Peace, Tourism and Social Harmony, in which students participated enthusiastically.

The month long program will include poster making, book mark making ,soft board, scrap file and role play intra section competitions etc.  Students would work elaborately on 3 countries-Japan, Spain and India and winner students in all the events for month long activities will be honored on concluding day.Principal of the school Surita Sharma said at the moment that the main motive of this celebration was to give special attention to the role of tourism in building blocks of a more sustainable future for social development. She later, emphasized that purpose of this day is to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide. She further remarked that we are part of this global movement which can help us to safeguard our shared natural and cultural heritage.
